Lake Placid

Do everything or do nothing at all. That's our motto for guests who want to experience the breathtaking beauty of Lake Placid and the Adirondacks. At our resort, we offer golf, tennis, skiing and all those other favorite activities like swimming, canoeing and beach volleyball. But there is a whole other world of distinct and unique activities in and around Lake Placid which will keep your group delightfully engaged in every month of the year. From mountain biking to museums, from fly-fishing to theatre, from rock climbing to Adirondack pack basket weaving, the possibilities are endless. Lake Placid remains in a class all it's own.

Lake Placid Lake Placid

Lake Placid has a long tradition of welcoming groups from around the world. The host of two Winter Olympic Games - 1932 and 1980, Lake Placid is the only community on the continent to hold this distinction. Presently, the Olympic venues are used as training facilities, and numerous world-class competitions are staged annually. In addition, the Olympic venues are yours to experience both as a participant and as a spectator.

Consider an "Olympic Challenge" where your group may experience Olympic sports first hand. Participants may opt to speed down the bobsled or luge run, shoot pucks, figure skate in the 1980 Arena, take laps around the speedskating oval, or race slalom gates at Whiteface Mountain. Or, be a spectator and be dazzled with summer or winter freestyle aerial and ski jumping exhibitions and private figure skating shows. Past, present and future Olympians may be hired as coaches or as inspirational speakers for your group. Whatever you decide upon, you will encounter the true Olympic Experience.
